A design-led hotel in central Kota Kinabalu, and a useful city night before or after Borneo's islands, dive sites and Mount Kinabalu. The 115 rooms are spare and Japanese-influenced. Food and drink cover several rooms: JoJo Gastrobar for modern Asian plates and cocktails, Hinode for Japanese, Fish Market for casual Chinese hotpot, and Flow Coffee using a local roaster. There is a gym and a 24-hour front desk, but no pool.
